A PUB IN THE HEART OF THE COTSWOLDS

Originally a 17th century inn, the Halfway at Kineton is nestled in the peaceful hamlet of Kineton. Located just a few miles from Bourton-on-the-Water, Stow-on-the-Wold and Winchcombe. The pub offers a relaxed setting for a lunch or dinner with loved ones as well as a cosy location for an overnight stay in one of the three guest bedrooms.

The pub is a modern country Cotswolds pub that offers classic British dishes that taps into the local supply chain and takes advantage of the plethora of game on their doorstep.

Having taken over the pub in February 2023, Nathan and Liam has seen much success over the past year with high praise from The Times, The Good Food Guide and Conde Nast's best new restaurant 2024.

What is your hospitality philosophy?

Making sure our guests are looking forward to the next visit before they leave the building!

What is your favourite thing about The Halfway?

The Halfway was an absolute labour of love for both myself and Liam, as well as both of our families. We really have put our stamp on the styling of the pub; but my favourite area has to be our snug. We really wanted an area for our guests just to relax and unwind.

What do you like to do to unwind when your aren't working?
When time allows, my wife and I enjoy trips to the Isle of Wight where we take our dog, Custard on the beach.

Favourite tipple?
A negroni if I'm out in a nice restaurant, but to be honest; I'm more of a Cotswold Gold type of guy!

Liam Goff

What is your hospitality philosophy?
Seeing someone have a smile on their face after we have fed them, is something that I always strive for.

What is your favourite thing about The Halfway?
The garden at our pub is a true asset to us and the community. We have big plans for the summer months; think charcoal bbq, fire pits paired with a really strong drinks offering.

What do you like to do to unwind when your aren't working?
Me and Nathan can often be found in the pub, going toe to toe on the oche. Darts and mainly winding Nathan up, are definitely two ways I find it good to unwind!

Favourite tipple?
Some might say I am partial to a cider.
